Disney's Animal Kingdom is currently in a state of flux.  The waterways that snake through the park are being outfitted with special lighting and fountain devices that will soon be part of a new nighttime water-light-projections spectacle called Rivers of Light. We presume it will be something similar to Hollywood Studios Fantasmic or Disneyland's World of Color.

 Disney has also been testing special night time entertainment shows during select evenings called Harambe Nights.  It is expected that these enhancements to the park will lead to a full fledged night of entertainment (something that currently doesn't exist at Animal Kingdom) once the new Pandora section of the park opens in a year or two. Stay tuned!  Animal Kingdom is about to change from a park with virtually no night life to become the premiere place to be at night in all of Walt Disney World!
