March 12, 2022 Frontierland Hoedown Happening returns to Magic Kingdom!
Another long missed magical moment that was temporarily cancelled by the pandemic has returned to the wild streets of Frontierland. Meant to feel spontanious, Frontierland castmembers respond to music being piped into the area and eventually fill the street with dancers. Guests are invited to participate for one segment. Very fun.

March 9, 2022 Festival of Fantasy Parade returns to Magic Kingdom!
After most parades at Disney Parks going dormant during the global pandemic, we are so happy to report the amazing Festival of Fantasy Parade return to the Magic Kingdom. This is one of Disney's most impressive parades! The parade is not fully back. Several floats are not in the current configuration and the team of dancers that appear between the floats are noticably thinner. Hopefully we will see the fully fleshed out parade back on the road soon.

March 3, 2022 Star Wars Galactic Star Cruiser
The first voyages of the Galactic Star Cruiser experience finally launch out of Walt Disney World near Hollywood Studios. Early reviews are mostly very positive!  Read all about it in Joe's Blog right here!

Dec 20, 2021 Parking Lot Trams Return to Magic Kingdom
After being removed during the Pandemic shutdown, the massive parking lot at the Magic Kingdom is a little less of a walk for guests again thanks to the return of the trams! Once herolded at the fastest moving ride in all of Disney World (not true anymore thanks to Test Track, Rockin' Rollercoaster, etc...), the parking trams have been truly missed. Especially after a long day of endless walking and park hopping. A little assistance in and our of the parking areas is much appreciated. Hopefully the trams will be returning to the other parks soon too!

Dec 19, 2021 Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular Returns!
I am so happy to report that after a 644 day hiatus due to the Pandemic closures, Indy and his stunt performer friends are back at Hollywood Studios!  Every time another live theatrical performance option returns or is introduced to Disney Parks, it is worth celebrating. All of us who have seen this show many times will revel in the nastalgia and for those who never got the chance to see this massive show, be prepared to be thrilled and delighted!

Nov 21, 2021  Destination D23 Announcements
Destination D23 is the in-between event that pops up between the major D23 fan events. This weekend at the Contemporary Resort Convention Complex, the Disney Company revealed some of its plans for the near future for the parks. Now before you get too excited, what fans really got were announcements of things coming back... but not much really new...

Finding Nemo: The Big Blue and Beyond... A reworking of Finding Nemo: The Musical will be coming back to Disney's Animal Kingdom "sometime in 2022."

Fantasmic! will be returning to Disney's Hollywood Studios "sometime in 2022."

Disney on Broadway will be coming to the Festival of the Arts main stage at Epcot in January 2022. This is the first concert series since the pandemic shutdowns.

A revision of Mickey's Friendship Faire is coming soon to the Castle stage at the Magic Kingdom.

Character Cavalcades which were the make-shift replacements for major parades in the parks are not going away despite the phased return of parades to the park. Parks will continue to have Cavalcade type entertainment on going into the future.

Festival of Fantasy Parade returns! In early 2022 this much loved parade returns to the streets of the Magic Kingdom.

A new statue of Walt Disney will be added to the central plaza at Epcot.

Connections Cafe announced for the World Celebration central area of Epcot where the Electric Umbrella once stood. No opening date announced.

Guardians of the Galaxy-Cosmic Rewind will open in the summer of 2022. Many have reported a sudden surge in activity around this attractions construction site as there is now a posted opening date for workers to meet.

"Hey Disney!" a mouse-eared version of the Alexa screen device will be offered in all Disney Resort Hotels in 2022. The device will be able to answer questions on-demand from guests. This will be a complimentary service any guest may choose to opt into.

A new version of the Magic Band will roll out sometime during the coming year. The new bands will offer a greater range of interactivity and convenience for guests.

Some characters and more inside views were released to tease the adventure guests might experience during their stay on the Star Wars Star Cruiser Hotel.

Literally nothing announced was not previously publicly known from one source or another. Usually these big events are full of amazing announcements revealing incredible new shows and attractions currently being developed behind the curtains at Disney Imagineering. We're kind of sad that there was very little of that this time around. Maybe we will get more announced next year at D23 on the cusp of Disney launching its company wide 100th Anniversary Celebration.

Nov 18 2021- Cirque Du Soleil Drawn to Life Opens at Disney Springs
We could not be more pleased to announce the giant tent-like structure on the west side of Disney Springs has come back to life with the all-new show Drawn to Life. Early reviews are off the charts positive! We cannot wait to see the show for ourselves on our next trip to the Springs!

Nov 8, 2021- First Holiday After Hours Event and First Parade Since Pandemic

Oct 19, 2021- Disney Genie, Genie+, and Lighting Lanes begin!
Disney's new park planning assistance app officially launched today. Genie is a free park planning assistant built into the MyDisneyExperience smartphone app. Genie will help guests make smart choices throughout their day finding the shortest lines and openings at restaurants. Genie+ costs $15 per person per day. Genie+ allows guests to bypass standby lines at many park attractions. You can choose one attraction at a time. As soon as you enter the Lightning Lane for your most recent choice, you can choose your next Lightning Lane attraction. One by one, throughout your day. Each guest has the option to pay for the Lightning Lane for select premium attractions in each park. Limit: two per person per day. Premium attractions include Space Mountain, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Rise of the Resistance, Micky & Minnie's Runaway Rainway, Remy's Rattiouie Adventure, Frozen Ever After, Flight of Passage, and Everest. Costs for Lightning Lane access to these premium attractions may cost between $7 and $25 depending on crowd levels on the day of your visit. You do not have to have Genie+ to purchase the premium Lightning Lane access. There is free standard standby line access to every attraction at Walt Disney World (you do not need to purchase Genie+ or the premium access. All attractions can be free of additional charges if you care to wait). Note: If you choose to purchase Genie + in advance of your visit, you must buy it for every day of the span of your ticket stay for everyone in your party. However, if you buy Genie+ on the day of your visit you can purchase it for just the days you want. You might want to wait to see if the crowd levels merrit the additional purchases on the day of your visit.

Oct. 14, 2021- Yehaa Bob has returned to the River Roost at Disney's Port Orleans Riverside
After 17 months of being away due to the Covid shut down and the slow phased re-introduction of live entertainment throughout Walt Disney World, long time fan favorite Yehaa Bob is back playing Thursday thru Saturday nights at 8:30pm. Bob Jackson performs a wide range of favorite old songs with hilarious audience participation. Fun for young and old. Arrive early. Seating is first come, first serve and very limited!

Oct 11, 2021- Confirmed! Indiana Jones, Finding Nemo Musical and Character Greetings are coming back!
Disney has called back the stunt performers and actors who make up the cast of Disney's Hollywood Studios Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular. Rehearsals are in progress now and the show is set to re-open in late December. More good news, earlier officials confirmed that Disney's Animal Kingdom will be bringing back the much-loved Finding Nemo-The Musical. The announcement came with the caviat that the returning show would be a modified version of the original. It will still contain musical favorites like Big Blue World and Go With the Flow, but much of the production with be completely revisioned. This show is set to return sometime in 2022.  I think we're all excited to hear this news: Character meet and greets are returning in November. Of course pandemic protocals won't let us hug the Mouse or Princesses just yet. There will be some distancing still required. But at least we can all enjoy some one-on-one time with some of our favorite characters coming back in phases beginning this fall.

Sept 30 and Oct 1, 2021- New Night-time Extravaganzas
Both Magic Kingdom and Epcot have officially premiered their night spectaculars. Harmonious at Epcot features giant water based structures that creat fountains, mist screens, lasers and of course fireworks. This might be the most amazing night time show ever in Disney World's history! Enchanted replaces Happily Ever After at the Magic Kingdom. This new show expands the projections from the castle and extends them all the way down Main Street. Both shows are not to be missed on your next vacation!

Rice Krispie treats, Candied Apples, Fresh Fudge, and many other treats are joined by new specialities including a candied popcorn bar. Mmmm.
